Drawing their inspiration from Nature, Birdhouse uses the Harmonic Series to express true transcriptions of birdsong into dynamic songs that bridge composition and improvisation. The birds don’t stick to only 12 notes, so why should humans?
Guitarist/composer Jon Catler brings forth new melodies and chords from the Beyond, while Meredith Borden’s fluid vocals combine dexterity and uncanny pitch accuracy. Joined by Brad Catler on tablas and other occasional guests, this recording develops a new musical language previously belonging only to our feathered friends.
